Infrared Sauna

Saunas are known for their high temperatures. Most saunas are heated up using wood, coal or steam. However, the infrared sauna is a tad different from other types of saunas. An infrared sauna utilizes light as a means of generating high temperatures within the sauna. Unlike other saunas that use air as a medium of transferring heat to your body, infrared saunas heat the body directly. Since it does not have to heat the air, it is able to deliver effective results under a lower temperature. There are three levels of infrareds used in this type of sauna near, middle and far level. Each of these levels serves a different purpose.

Infrared saunas have been linked to a variety of health benefits some of which include:

Infrared sauna as in other saunas increases the body’s rate of perspiration. Through sweating, the body is able to expel toxins. Due to its more conducive temperatures, one can spend more time in the sauna without experiencing discomfort. This enables the body to expel more toxins as compared to other types of sauna.

Improved blood circulation

An infrared sauna is also responsible for increased heart rate. This in turn makes the heart pump blood faster thus increasing blood circulation which helps to reduce the blood pressure levels.

Skin care

The increase in blood circulation coupled with detoxification as a result of using the infrared sauna results to a clearer and smoother skin. Moreover, infrared energy helps to reduce wrinkling as a result of increased production of collagen.

Speedy healing

This can be attributed to using the near infrared level. The near infrared promotes cell regeneration and growth. In turn, wounds heal at a faster rate.

Relieves muscles, bones and joints of pain

Heading to the infrared sauna is one of the best ways to relieve your body of aches and pains. This treatment helps reduce tension within your body tissues thus relieving pain. This process is further aided by the increased blood circulation in your body.

Promotes relaxation

Not only does the infrared sauna have a favorable temperature, it also aids in muscle relief. This relieves the body of any tension allowing it to relax which in turn reduces the level of stress.

Facilitates weight loss

The high temperatures within the infrared sauna will heat up your body, raising its temperature. As a result, the body will be able to burn more fats and calories, subsequently leading to weight loss.
