About the Event
Learn to Cook Ayurvedic Food - Harmonious blend of wellness and flavour
The ancient Indian system of health and life science, views food as the foundation of physical strength, mental clarity, and spiritual balance. It teaches that "Ahara" (diet) is one of the three pillars of lite, alongside "Nidra" (sleep) and "Brahmacharya" (regulated lifestyle). According to Ayurveda, the foods we consume directly influence our Doshas (Vata, Pitta, Kapha), Agni (digestive fire), Dhatus (tissues), and ultimately our Ojas (vital essence). Unlike modern nutrition, which classifies foods largely based on calories, macronutrients, and micronutrients, Ayurveda looks at the qualitative nature of foods — their taste (Rasa), potency (Virya), post-digestive effect (Vipaka), and subtle effect on the mind (Prabhava).
This understanding allows us to see that the same food can nourish one person but aggravate another, depending on constitution, season, age, and even emotional state. Let us explore the Ayurvedic nature of common foods and their role in supporting balance and wellbeing. A holistic journey into Ayurvedic cooking, paired with a balanced Sattvic lunch.
